Thinking that one of the reasons I'm having trouble gluing the plot of Genevieve together is that Genevieve herself is kind of just a cipher. I haven't developed her sty all because it's just her memories that manifest.

I think I need to develop Genevieve herself more, so I have a base for what happens on her future selves.

I have been rereading a book by a favorite author. The heroine is Gen, and I was just surprised to find this sentence at the end: "She carried with her a battered felt hat, a pearl necklace, certain memories to cherish, the puppet Zawgwi, and an awareness of many new Genevieves to be learned and explored." A startling coincidence!
