May. 12th, 2016 01:36 pmMaking box lunches for the next week equals six hours of cooking. Six hours of cooking apparently equals running a marathon, according to my body. Thirteen hours of sleep later, my muscles STILL feel like 20 pounds of bagged sand. Each.
Ended up calling in for work. Gonna try to make up for it by drawing a comic to cover it.

Date: 2016-05-14 03:24 pm (UTC)Hopefully your efforts will be rewarded in the coming week, with nutritious deliciousness. ^_^
Did you learn your cooking from family, or is it something you've sort of acquired over the years? (Or indeed, both)
This week's highlight, I think, was the bacon spaghetti. =:9 Started with some dirt cheap cooking bacon (ie offcuts - still perfectly good, just not pretty enough for the usual packages), fried that off with a finely chopped leek, and then added half a tin of Campbell's mushroom soup, seasoned up a bit with pepper, garlic paste, basil, and rosemary, and finally plopped it all onto some awaiting spaghetti. Surprisingly cheap, and very tasty.
