Eep! Aww.. I imagine there was simply too much demand for too few tables? Which, I suppose, isn't the worst problem a con can have - sounds like it's been astoundingly successful. (It's a relatively recent con, ne?)
It's in your neck of the woods, ne? Seems like there could be fun to be had going along regardless, and there are likely to be others you know attending, possibly with a table. (Could even see if you could have some books/badges/suchlike to sell on theirs? Or even offer to take over if they want a break sometime to see a panel?)
