Today I learned that Locke Hill wasn't just Locke's Hill, or Lockhill, or Eleven-Mile Hill. It was also "Shavano." Especially where the De Zavalas were involved.
Sometimes "Olga." And we won't even get into Nine-mile Hill.
Also, W. M. Locke was Bexar County Surveyor from at least 1881 to 1918, and possibly to his death in 1920. Winning elections in landslides for 37 years straight....
