Galaxy Quest had an in-joke JUST for the Trek:TNG staff....

Ha! Oh, that's just brilliant. That he'd be able to wind up being such a part of ST lore, even if relatively unknown, is wonderful enough in itself - but to have the GQ writers pick up on that theme, and induct him into that as well..

Truly, GQ's one of my favorite films - excellent fun in itself, whilst also managing to parody ST:TOS so thoroughly, yet never, ever in the least meanly.. that's quite a writing accomplishment.

I remember someone saying Galaxy Quest was the best of the Star Trek movies. Hard to disagree with that.
