Hmm. Do I put more money into buying a replacement antenna for a shortwave radio because I tore one up trying to make a better antenna?

Or do I just save money and give in to the more and more apparent realization that shortwave reception is just shitty around here?

Replacement would just be to replace the one I tore up - it won't make anything better, really. :/

I'd probably recommend simply looking around some radio magazines' archives for some compact HF indoor aerial designs - it's likely to be a relatively simple project, and cheap. Although, given it seems possible to order just about anything short of a car by post from China for about $10 these days.. =:)
