And I haven't even unpacked the Playmobil or Star Wars yet....or even all the Little Mermaid stuff!

Looks like my house, only with different stuff.

Are those Lightcycles the re-releases, or the originals? I have one orange original Lightcycle, it's scuffed-up and the ripcord is lost but it's super keen. I got to have it autographed by Syd Mead.

Those are the original Tomy lightcycles. :) I used to have the entire run of characters, too, but all the good guys got stolen when I made the mistake of leaving them in a tent while we were camping. I still have Sark, although he's fallen apart, and the guard is still a good condition.

How'd you manage Syd Mead's autograph?

I used to have a Flynn, but if I recall correctly he took a header down a sewer intake. And I do still have a Tron, but his head fell off at some point, and I had to superglue it back on--residue from the superglue rubbed off all the "circuitry" on his back. I think he's on one of my bookshelves.

[livejournal.com profile] blizzardskies and I were at Dragon*Con in 2001; I had planned to get Mead's autograph on the Lightcycle but I couldn't stay. She stood in line to get it signed for me and mailed it back to me. She's awesome. ^_^

::laugh:: They shouldn't be TOO hard to find. I saw them in 97 for $50 each, and it looked nice and all, but much too expensive for my tastes. Fast forward to summer of 98, they were still there, marked down to $5 a piece!

Wow, is that the entire main shift day crew bridge regiment?

And I'm a bad fan, I guess. I didn't even know they made Dr. Who action figures.

Dapol made them from 1988 to 2002, and to be honest, they weren't exaxtly the best things in the world till 2000, what with the green K9, the World's Loudest Five Sided Tardis Console, Flying Fists of Davros and Sunburned Ace...they did eventually get tons better though.
