Saddest thing I saw all day involving the marches today was a woman arguing that they were completely unnecessary because "We haven't lost any rights."

You fight to use the rights you already have.
Then you fight to make sure their attempts to take your rights fail.
And if things go badly, you fight to get your rights back.

The marches aren't to get back rights we haven't lost yet. The marches are to make sure those who want to take those rights know you're not going to back down.

There is, absolutely, much to be said for giving people leeway, and thus, scope to improve - but when one's record is as thoroughly sullen as Trump, someone who would've been locked up for molestation years ago were his bank account not so well endowed (even if through loans and other chicanery), there's real danger in letting such plans progress. Not even his, for the most part, so much as the entire Party hanging on his coattails, ready to make all their deregulation wet dreams come true, fuck the consequences to people.

Why wait for the blade's stroke?
