It's likely to be a long and bitter battle, with friends and partners sometimes forced apart. All we can do is try to muster those with compassion, even as the detractors may gloat, or the "centrists" claim that Things Aren't Really That Bad™, and push back in any ways possible, from raising awareness to hounding elected representatives, to.. well, let's see.
