It only took 17 years, but I now have a legit copy of Crackpot's Tippy Tippy Toe. The copy I've had for forever was a file I recreated from a demo site that would only let you play in 10 second segments.

In 2000, I was working at Dell and had a complete corporate backbone connection to the internet, and, working chat and email, lots of time on my hand to listen to music. I had an online world-wide radio guide (I think it was actually part of Internet Explorer at the time), and I asked my friends around the world to tell me what good music they had that I might be able to listen into.

The one I fell in love with was a suggestion by Ali Son of alternative radio station 4JJJ. While Alternative had kinda died in the US after Kurt Cobain's death (RHCP and Pearl Jam are kind of it around that time). It ended up being the only station I listened to at work for a long time, and I got a few songs I really liked listening to. But the one I liked best was Crackpot's Tippy Tippy Toe.

I don't know how to describe it other than "Lounge Alternative." I heard this (and Danielle Spencer's "Jonathon White" which actually became the inspiration for Morningstar in AWFW) and then tried to get a copy of them anywhere. Being very poor at the time, and imports being very expensive...I threw it on my Amazon Wish List and forgot about it.

17 years later, I sort my wosh list by price, and see this at $5. Using a Christmas giftcard (thanks Philip!) I grabbed it. :)
