While I have love for the 1850s Texas Pioneers, and enjoy thinking about care-free Life in the Rural Roman Empire...I do know that these were actually pretty ugly times, and that I'm mentally romanticizing the stories I'm seeing in newspapers and history books.
Besides, if I were to go back to 1850s Locke Hill? Probably more as a Comanche than a Mexican. And being Mexican was only BARELY more tolerated than being Comanche.
