dolariTwenty Years Ago Today, I took the first permanent steps into a new life. Everything up to that point could be temporary. I could walk away and no one would be the wiser. But after this, this is who I'd be, and if this had been a mistake, would take a lot of work to undo.
Twenty years later, I can tell you it wasn't a mistake. Sure, I much prefer "Jenn" to "Jennifer," but who doesn't prefer their nickname? Just please don't call me "Jenny." Makes me feel like I'm five.
