dolariSaw my first Stars and Bars flag of the vacation today.
Listen, I get it. I'm a Texan, and I'm an amatuer historian. For better or for worse (trust me, it was worst) Texas was part of the Confederacy for four years, and I'm sure you're very proud to be a rebel sticking it to the Union.
But your minority friends and neighbors kind of think you're an asshole. I think you're an asshole. And if you WANT to be an asshole, that's fine, keep flying that flag.
If you're proud of that heritage the flag apparently symbolizes, but don't think you're an asshole? You're kind of being an asshole. If you're upset that we think you're an asshole, take the flag down, sincerely apologize for having it up, and GUESS WHAT - no longer an asshole.
If you still want to keep it up, that's fine too. You just simply WANT to be an asshole and are in denial.
But it'd sure be nice if you weren't an asshole.
