Sep. 4th, 2005 03:40 amRev. Bill Shanks, pastor of New Covenant Fellowship of New Orleans, said "God simply, I believe, in His mercy purged all of that stuff out of there -- and now we're going to start over again." “New Orleans now is abortion free. New Orleans now is Mardi Gras free. New Orleans now is free of Southern Decadence and the sodomites, the witchcraft workers, false religion -- it's free of all of those things now," Shanks says.
It's also holier-than-thou-bible-thumping-self-serving Christian-free.

Date: 2005-09-04 09:54 am (UTC)Anyway, I cannot believe a preacher FROM New Orleans is saying this. Also, I have my doubts that he was making this statement from inside the Superdome. However, during my brief Googling of this epitome of love and compassion, I didn't find out for sure. (I know he's not black, and I really doubt he's poor, though...)
Enough said about him by me. Y'all know how to Google if you care to devote any more time to the likes of him. :/
