dolari | Bush: One of the worst disasters to hit the U.S.

PANEL 1: "Disasters often end up bringing the extremes out in people, all in the name of survival."
PANEL 2: "It can bring out the worst in people."
PANEL 3: "But it can also bring out compassion."

Originally, I was going to do several panel to the last half of the lyrics of "The Temple" from Jesus Christ Superstar and the AWFW angels, but I dropped it sine (1) I'm pilfering a LOT of lyrics for cash and (2) it might be insensitive to show (2a) a bunch of white angels saving black victims and (2b) could be seen as an endorsement of "Christianity Saves." The joys of doing a spiritual comic and trying to keep religion out of it.

A second pass was having a kid wading through the water with bags of groceries, and have Andrea come across and carry one of them for him. The text also changed MOSTLY to what is on the strip now.

The third and final pass dropped a LOT of frames, down to three, and added the "menace" in panel 2 instead of Andrea. When I drew it, I used the kid from the "Black people loot, white people find?" picture running around the web, cause I thought he got a bum rap. The guy in panel 2 and 3, no one in particular...compassion can come from anyone.

Considering all the people needing money are needier than I am, I've taken down most of my money begging stuff from my site...but that means I need a job, QUICKLY. Rent is quickly coming up. Meds and groceries are running dry, and I'm down to single digits in my bank account.
