dolariYou know who else went a long time without seeing a grocery store? Folks on the Oregon Trail. Let's see what they brought with them that could help me stockpile. I've divided it down to 1 person instead of four, and prices are as of today:
206 Pounds of Flour - $140
181 pounds of Bacon - $887
19 pounds of Coffee - $100
40 pounds of Sugar - $24
50 pounds of lard - $120
50 pounds of beans - $137
34 pounds of peaches and apples - $117
6 pounds of seasonings - $48
A bit much, but would only cost me $1573. If I'm allowed to hunt the bison in this area, and slaughter my own oxen, I think I could sit this whole coronavirus thing out.
