So, I listen to Radio Taiwan International's sunday show pretty consistently, and the way they talk about Coronavirus is pretty laid back for a country next door to Ground Zero of the epidemic.
To be sure, the Sunday shows are mostly magazine style lite-news style shows, but the way they're reporting really comes across as "This is a Big Deal, but happens out here so often that you know what to do. Take your precautions and get on with life."
I dunno if that the general consensus in Taiwan, or because RTI plays up the optimism cause it's radioed into Communist China akin to Radio Free Asia. But it's definitely a different take.
Last week I leaned all about Wuhan's "Hot Dry Noodle Dish" so that's a plus from the pandemic. :)
