Given the nightmare that is about to be Governor Abbott's forced opening of Texas before it's ready and it's forced march of employees into jobs or lose your unemployment insurance, I'm very glad I live in Washington State.

It may not be home, but my high-risk ass is safe here. I'm sorry for everyone else there.

To my continued pleasant surprise, premier Doug Ford isn't taking chances up here in Ontario either. Not what I would have expected of him before this mess began, to be honest. But he's apparently had the fear of pandemic - if not of some sort of God - put into him. His mother-in-law came down with it, and Trump burned him with some of his antics re: PPE supplies, I believe. Those two factors may have influenced him...somewhat heavily.

I have several friends who've called Texas home for decades. Now, it's not a place they're comfortable thanks to Mr. Abbott.
