dolariThirty minutes away from 46, I suddenly wonder about my first real friend-that-was-a-girl.
We were both five and lived in the same apartment complex that had a duck pond behind it. I met her there, and she pretty much demanded I help her feed the ducks, and have me bread to feed them.
She liked to have me over to her house to play, and her other girl friends were not happy to have me there. Her response was "Well, you can go home then."
I didn't know I was trans yet, although the signs were there, but she was the first person to kind of treat me as a girl. She probably didn't know or care, really, she just wanted to be my friend. She just liked having me over and I enjoyed it too. I'm not sure, but I believe her name was Tsu-Li but she went by Sue.
I wonder whatever happened to her in these last forty one years.
