I don't know if you saw this, but you probably know about Ellison's spat with the webcomic Penny Arcade... The Onion AV Club's blogs have commentary on it - and a link to an obnoxious interview Ellison gave to them a few years back.

He's salty, but I do like his work (am plowing through Strange Wine right now). It's just funny how anti-"snob" artists like him always have blind spots for their less than dubious achievements - I mean, Outer Limits ain't Shakespeare, and it isn't even ain't Twilight Zone, half the time.
