dolariSo...all the copying is done for sure. I managed to save most everything. Lost a lot of data from January and April. Still working on rebuilding that stuff.
But I lost my entire "Home Movies" directory, which was videos of me and friends over the years, spanning from about 2000 to today. I kept it on a non-shared folder to keep people from being able to access it along with pictures of friends and family.
Thankfully, the pictures were backed up as of January, so I have 99% of that back. But the videos are all gone. My video backup is done differently than my documents backups, and because they weren't in the same folders, my video backups never touched them.
I went 16 years unknowingly not backing up those files. Make sure you back up everything you make digitally. Everything. Cause I can still make videos with Dean, Emily, all my other friends. But not my sister.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to bed. Mrf.
