dolariAssuming I can go to Canada at the end of October, the Amtrak trip is looking more and more like a real thing in December. Currently thinking take the train down to the bay area, spending a day with a friend, then coming back.
However, there's the possibility of overshooting the bay area for more time on the train, and doing a quick two hour layover for a turnaround straight back to the bay area. More time on the train, but I'd miss seeing said friend and there's a scary long layover should the trains be too late and I can't make the trip back....
