There's a lot of stigma around Thanksgiving these days, but at it's core, it's a holiday about giving thanks for the blessings in your life. So I tend to get rid of all the colonial trapping behind it, and just be thankful for what I have.

So right off the bat, thank you (yes YOU) for reading this. For putting up with my social media ultra-liberal (depending where you are) occasionally-depressing, accidentally-inspirational ranting, raving and shitposting. I don't keep up with a lot of friends and family outside of Social Media these days, but I appreciate every last one of you.

Those of you who read my comics, rarely-updating as it is, thank you. I'm trying to get content out there for you. It's rare, but every bit I do for the readers who are still there reading. It's always been my dream to be a comic artist and writer and through you all, I'm doing that. Albeit slowly. I'm also super thankful to Kevin, who has kept my website up long enough for it to be legal to drink.

On top of that, I'm thankful for Crystal, Ryan, Ajit and Guildhall Studios for finally giving me another one of my dreams this year, a paid writing gig. It was small, but significant to me. Here's to hopefully a few more under my belt soon. As well, I'm thankful for Lissa for not only getting me my current pay-the-bills job, but for supporting me when I'm down, for feeding me some of the best food in the world (just don't tell my doctor, she'll kill me), and for Callie and Ada, who make me smile when I'm at my worst.

I'm thankful for the various inspirations who have not only allowed me a look into their work and lives, but accepted me into the fold. It makes me feel like I'm involved, even if it's in a very very far-orbit way, or as a (hopefully non-annoying) super-fan of their work.

On a more personal note, I'm thankful for Steph, Hattie and Kimberly. Steph has been my rock since High School proving how awesome she is (I wouldn't have stuck with me that long), but for her sisters Hattie and Kimberly and their children for essentially adopting me into their family. They're as much my sisters as Marisa ever was, and I'm so happy to be there. I just hope I do as good by them (and to their kids as an aunt) as they do by me.

For the family that accepts me for who I am, thank you. You don't know how much that means to me, esepcially given my personal history and physical distance. My parents, for the support and encouragement when things get rough, and for the occasional treat from home.

For the friends who have been with me through thick and thin, thank you. Knowing you're there for me after all these years (some of you for lifetimes) makes me feel like I was loved even before my transition, where I feel I was just not very lovable, and honestly, kind of a jerk.

For anyone I missed, I'm sorry, I love you, and I thank you. It wasn't that I did it on purpose, it's that there's so much, I can't list everything.

Thank you for everything, everyone.
