It's been two years since I started recreating KENS-TV's 80s era "Saturday Sci-Fi Theater." I started just as they did back then: Twilight Zone, Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. I've since burned through several series (it's been two years) and just finished Space 1999. So today's new lineup is:

10:30PM-11:30PM: The Twilight Zone - The Bard
11:30PM-12:30AM: Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Outrageous Okona
12:30AM-1:30AM: War of the Worlds - Resurrection

I keep wanting to see Moonbase Alpha and its survivors revisited more properly...like Moore and Eick did with Galactica.

Oh, absolutely. One of the things that ruins Space 1999 for me is Koenig is just a jerk and somewhat of a petty dictator at times. I'd rather have a more sympathetic, but still stern, leader.

I know we can attribute a lot of that to writing for the perceived audience of the Anderson shows in general, or anticipating "Standards and Practices" objections from the TV stations paying to air the show. Some of that can be laid at the necessities imposed by Alpha's post-Breakaway situation, too, though.
