You know...I'm wondering if I should just stay up. Just stay WAY up, and clean house instead of waiting for bed. There are dishes to do, and laundry to fold, or at least de-pile.
I made the mistake of explaining Bill Miller's BBQ to Emily, and now I MUST HAVE IT. If I'm good, and clean everything AND am still awake-ish, perhaps.
Also, why is it that anytime I'm awake past 1AM, someone, somewhere is showing Superman II? It's like the matinee movie EVERYDAY.
Speaking of which, I finally got a copy of the bootleg Superman II "Restored International Cut" which took all the existing network versions, with all their added extra footage, cleaned them up, and restitched the movie together. All in all it's an extra 15 minutes of footage that makes the movie flow a lot better. It's still a pale imitation of the movie we should have seen ::Cough::UnneccesaryFiringOfRichardDonner::Cough::. If it weren't for the fact that the image is obviously from multiple PAL/NTSC VHS tapes recored in 1984, it would beat Warner's DVD of S2 hands down.
Remember when "Movies of the Week" had extra footage? Wanna know why they don't? Superman - the producers bilked the networks by adding TONS of scenes back in and charging a higher price for longer movies. Superman 1 ran as a 2 night/6 hour miniseries in 1980 because they added SO much into it. The network version of Superman II infact has footage from SUperman I added in to inflate the movie's running time.
