Well, as the local POD demand thing is indefinately on hold, I'm going ahead via Lulu. The Lean on Me book is being done through them, the Webcomics Telethon was done through Lulu (and looks SPECTACULAR) and the upcoming VE book is going through them. Here's the mockup I came up with, let me know what you think:



The commentary sidebar colors will change each act, with Act II being Red to Black, Act III being Seagreen to Green and Act IV being Yellow to Black. I figure since I HAVE to print in full color for the small color blotches I actually use, I might as well use it fully on the sidebars.

What size pages? should be pretty large given how small each panel is.

The cyan to blue fade looks nice. Any symbology?


on a tangent, Pete Abrams, who does Sluggy Freelance, is presently also working on getting a book out (Book 9, Dangerous Days -- long overdue as nearly half the run isn't in print).

He's presently releasing stick figure cartoons, the most recent by his Saturday guest artist...

8.5x11, the panels are small, but readable. I'm worried about later strips where I reduced the font sie to cram everything in.

The fade is Blue. Blue Magic. :) Other acts will be Red/Black (Abaddon), Seagreen/Green (Michael) and Yellow/Black for Andrea.
