Disturbing.
Oct. 28th, 2005 12:20 pmThere was a friend of mine in the Early 90s. He was an excellent artist and photographer. But he was also a horndog. I never thought much of it, half the people I hung out with were horndogs, wether it was furries, anime girls, or whatnot. But he was pretty bad about it, more so than the others. We'll get back to this.
We worked together at a comic store, money went missing, it wasn't either of our faults (we know who it was, and if I ever see them again, I'l punch 'em). He was fired first, I stayed on a few month more, then I was fired. Those few months I had the job and he didn't, he called me every day to whine and complain that I didn't quit my job. when I was fired, he called me every day to remind me that I didn't quit my job. Eventually I got tired of it. I moved to Pennsylvania, and that killed the calls.
Had he not been such a whiner, I prolly would have gone into business with him. In fact, I kind of regretted losing contact with him because we had a plan to start a rival comic company after we both felt burned from Antarctic. With his art, and my writing, we could have had some decent books out there.
He was sentenced to five years for inducing a sexual performance of a minor and possession of child pornography as part of a photoshoot.
Maybe it was a good that we never worked together after all....
