May. 17th, 2022 02:33 pmThe worst kind of customer service isn't the customer service where you're asked to call in and the person on the other side is completely clueless as to why they've asked you to call in, it's when you add the whole "I'm not listening to you at all, just saying 'okay' anytime I tell you this isn't why I'm calling, then continuing to go down this support checklist which does not apply."
Also, 99% sure it's because this town doesn't do @!#$)&*@#)(%& home post office delivery.
Update: He hung up on me after three minutes on hold. BOY AM I GLAD I STILL HAVE MY OLD FINGERSTICK GLUCOMETER.
Update 2: "So, we're sent your glucometer to the address in Austin you lived at back in 2001." "That's not my address anymore, the one I live at is--" "It's the address we have on file." "You know what, never mind, I'll do fingersticks till my insurance allows me to get another meter."

Date: 2022-05-17 10:53 pm (UTC)Also, postal delivery right to the door is a thing we ought to revive in both our respective countries. Maybe the insurance providers to USPS and Canada Post aren't willing to tolerate that anymore, but we ought to at least try to push back against that pressure.
