dolariYou know, I've talked a lot about Star Trek: The Motion Picture since the release of the 4K, mainly involving the changes, before and after and whatnot cause I'm a fan of movie archaeology.
There's something else about the movie I don't talk about as much, but the reason it's on today.
It's a movie I watch when things get bad. Something to take my mind off things, because it helps me remember being a little kid without a care in the world, watching the movie with my dad in the theater. When it's on, I can experience some of the child-like wonder I had in 1979, mesmerized as much at spaceships, clouds and objects as the crew. It's not just an escape from today, but a trip to a more innocent past.
And I kinda need that today, cause tomorrow and tomorrow again will be rough....
