dolariIt's been a very strange 72 hours.
So, minutes after I said I gave up on the PS5, a friend popped up and said he had an invite for a PS5. After a back and forth for about thirty minutes of "No, it's okay, I'm kinda done. Really." which became "ARE YOU ABSOLTUELY 100% REALLY REALLY REALLY SURE YOU DON'T WANT THIS INVITE" and being ABSOLUTELY sure he wasn't being put out by this, he gave it to me.
If it weren't someone I trusted, I'd swear this was some kind of scam for my personal info.
The invite was literally for the very next day at 11AM and said not to log in early or I could be blocked from the store, so I waited until 11:01AM to log in. It logged me in and I waited in a queue for about 15 minutes and when it let me in, all the PS5s were sold out.
BUT. The Horizon Zero Dawn bundle was available. After fretting over wether I got the disc version or not, I plunked down MSRP for the bundle and paid for express shipping. I figured I'd get it on Monday or Tuesday. If I got it at all. I was still pretty sure something would go wrong and it'd not ship.
It went from Ordered to Preparing To Ship super quick, and the very next day shipped. Again, expecting it Monday or Tuesday, I was blown away to see UPS was going to delivery it Friday.
And it was here at 9AM. Happy early birthday to me. :)
