If it weren't for that border-crossing stuff, I'd offer to take that jury gig off your hands. Yes, it has its issues - especially depending on what sort of case you ended up being jury-drafted to decide - but I am honestly sorry that I was never picked to actually serve once I showed up to await being called or not. Twice in all, within the first decade after I moved to Ontario.
