Are you pleased with your choice?

It's the same camera I got for Christmas last year, so I'm pleased with it.

It's used, but not much from what I can tell, and the guy never turned in his warranty card, so I can turn it in myself and make sure everything is hunky dory with it.

Now if only I could sell off that Largan without generating hate mail from the buyer.

I like the Canon because it looks more like the big heavy clunky Pentax I used for years as a photojournalist. I'm a traditionalist at heart :)

On a subconscious level, that was a selling point for me, too. Now if only it had black, simulated leather grips like an old Rollei.

I use an older model of the Canon PowerShot. Nothing but reliable -- and it was a display model!

Cheers,
Gwen Smith

As is this one.

Welcome to the club, then, I guess.

Did it come with all its accessories and supplies? When I got mine, it came with it's manual, but lacked software and a cable. I managed to get them to give me software on a second visit, but bought the cable (a Belkin replacement) separately.

Only issue I've had with the camera is the "shutter" (the metal aperture that covers the lens) fouling and/or low batteries giving me E18 errors. More an annoyance than anything else.

Cheers,
Gwen Smith

Ouch.

Got one person who thinks it's great, and they decide to explain this by insulting the intelligence of the others.

*giggle* I think I want to meet the camera. XD

Shiny! If you need a cable or adapter or anything, please ask me. I have a drawer full of various USB cables and adapters, et cetera, that I have accumulated, most of which I do not need or are duplicates.

I had the small Largan Cameleon. It took grainy "aight" pics.

My husband uses it now for stupidness, really :)

Mine came with everything, and it was all totally sealed, too. The only issue I have with this camera is it seems to "hold" the picture you've just taken too long. Probably because it was meant to SHOW the potential buyers the pictures they could take.

I've noted a similar issue with mine, as well. Try reformatting the CF card and see if that helps. I wonder if there's a setting to change for that, too.

There's a setting!

Go into MENU, move down to the image of the LCD on the camera (marked REVIEW), and change the seconds down to whatever you want. I moved mine to 3 from TEN!

Well, whattya know, there is a setting. I'm a-gonna give that three second setting a try as well.

Cheers,
