I really hate talking to overseas customer service some days:

"We will look into this and see what happened to your sensor, sir."
"That's ma'am ."
::not listening:: "Yes, sir."

The person at the other end pointedly ignoring the point. Whether because of personal malice or legislated malice in the country where they're working, it's still malice.

I don't see it as malice, honestly. IT's more of this disinterested "whatever." I get that a lot when I try to add information to an issue, and they just say "yes, sir/ma'am" to shut you up and move to the next thing on the script.
