My move away from the ORG extention is complete. DOLARI.NET is now up. Please switch everything you've got as Dolari.Org over to Dolari.Net.

Not that you HAVE to...I plan on keeping Dolari.Org for a while. I just prefer Dolari.Net. I'd love Dolari.Com if those websquatters would get off the domain....

I don't know why, but I've always considered .org to be preferable to .net. .net domains strike me as the last refuge of the desperate, for some reason. :)

And for me, I only got .net cause .com was in use by the Dolari band, and .net was owned by a Romanian company who just sat on it and let it expire. .org, to me, seems kinda silly, since it's supposed to be for non-profit organizations, even though no one really enforces that....

Does this include all your email addresses?

I generally prefer .org to .net too, though it depends on the domain name. More techy stuff sounds cool as .net, more organic stuff sounds cool as .org. I have no idea what Dolari sounds like :)

I'm just starting a domain name now, and I echewed '.org'... it sounds to me like I'm a whole organisation rather than one person.

Yeah, all my EMails have moved over to dolari.net, too. Although you only really need the jenn@dolari.net address. The other addresses have been retired due to better spam filtering.

I never really wanted .org, seeing as it's "officially" for non-profit organizations. I know no one really enforces those, but it just never seemed right for me to have that org address. I wanted .net cause net is cool, but it was owned by someone in Romania for several years.

I'm going to keep dolari.org, though, since I've used it for so long I'll never get rid of references to it (I still get hits from links to dragondata almost five years after I last used that address), and because I'm paranoid someone'll buy it and make it a porn site. :)
