Took the survey to see where in the world, or the US, I fit in. Getta looksie at the results:

Altoona, Pennsylvania Hometown, USA This town is home to the oldest roller coaster in the world: the "Leap-The-Dips"
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania The Waterfront Capital The Rockville Bridge just north of this Pennsylvania town was built in 1901 and is still the longest stone arch bridge in the world

I actually lived right up the street from Altoona, in State College. I love State College...that whole area. Lock HAven, State College, Altoona, Harrisburg. I'd move back if the job situation were better.

Chattanooga, Tennessee City of Vision The beautiful former depot of this town's famous Choo-Choo is now a unique vacation complex
Knoxville, Tennessee Gateway to the Smoky Mountains In the shadow of the Great Smoky and Cumberland Mountains, this spot served as Tennessee's capital from 1796 to 1812
Lewiston, Maine Cities on the Riverbank This Maine town celebrates its French-American culture with its annual Festival de Joie...

Albany, New York Crossroads of the Northeast This city of museums and galleries is home to the New York State Museum, with over 5 million artifacts and specimens

I have a friend nearby who keeps inviting me up. One day, I'll take her up on the offer!

Johnson City/Kingsport, Tennessee Two Natural Wonders This Tennessee city's lively annual Springfest includes a JazzNite, golf tournaments, a chili cookoff and a beach party...

Carlisle, Pennsylvania The Waterfront Capital The Rockville Bridge near this Pennsylvania town was built in 1901 and is still the longest stone arch bridge in the world

See Altoona/Harrisburg notes above.

Greenville, South Carolina The Rising Star of the South The Peace Center for the Performing Arts presents theater and concerts in this South Carolina city's rejuvenated downtown

San Marcos, Texas Hill Country Jewel This river city in south-central Texas is considered by some to be the oldest continuously-inhabited area in the Northern Hemisphere

I nearly moved to San Marcos before settling on Austin. San Marcos is a Texas version of State College, and the choice of Austin over San Marcos was purely job related. I'd move to San Marcos in a nanosecond,

Tallahassee, Florida Florida's Grand Old Capital This city is home to the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, site of the most intense constant magnetic field on Earth
Jackson, Mississippi Old Capital of the South This historic Mississippi city is the home of the largest planetarium in the Southeast
Charleston, South Carolina Cosmopolitan Southern City Fort Sumter, the scene of the first shots of the Civil War, overlooks this city's harbor...
Gainesville, Florida The Heart of Florida Consistently ranked as one of America's best spots, this city is surrounding by undeveloped forests, lakes, and wetlands
Bryan/College Station, Texas The Heart of Texas Home to a major university, this spot claims to have the friendliest residents in the world

They've never been to San Antonio.

Hattiesburg, Mississippi Hub of the Mississippi This southeast Mississippi hub has been rated the #1 small city in the nation for health care
Erie, Pennsylvania The Flagship City This city's sheltered Presque Isle Bay is home to the U.S. Brig Niagara, the tallest "tall ship" on the Great Lakes...
Jacksonville, Florida Florida's First Coast Here in Florida's youngest city the median age is just 32

I'm surprised State College, Pennsylvania and Austin/San Antonio, Texas aren't on the list. State College was my dream city. I really loved it there, despite the job situation and the mild summers. I'd move back in a heartbeat should the opportunity arise. San Antonio is in the same boat...although the jobs in San Antonio are really really low paying. Guess we can't all be perfect.

Okay, I need to sleep. :)

I can't help but think this quiz is a bit skewed; for some reason I got _THREE_ locales in Arkansas.

Arkansas?

I drove through there once - I even stopped in Hope Arkansas for a Cherry Limeade at a Sonic. Terrible. The water there...well..it stinks. :P

At least at that Sonic.

Heh, I should have read the comments before posting My own, but here's yet another coincidence: I currently live in Mtn. View, Arkansas.

State College, huh?

I commented on an earlier post, but in case you didn't read it yet, I found your LJ through the link on the "Day of Rememberance" site linked from Misfile. Anyways, I used to live in St. Mary's PA, Myself, not too far from there. Coincidences really DO happen! @_@
