Jan. 7th, 2006 03:23 pmIn response to all the posts on the "Floorshow" (there are too many to respons with the exact same thing), I think y'all are missing the point.
The point is that ANY print comic is what you see on the screen. The movie makes money, and is shown to a wide audience, just like print comics. The floorshow are locals imitating the movie the movie the best they can for that night's audience.
The idea being that the prima donnas in RHPS floorshows believe that they are more important than the movie they're showing. They're big fish in a small pond. The good casts are full of people doing it for fun, not for personal glory. There are a few webcomics who have made it and have earned the right to be prima donnas, but out of how many?
The idea being that when you're getting a swelled head over your comic, make sure it's something to get a swelled head about. Not whether indy comics are part of the floor show or not. :)
