dolariWhile I did have some good times in Leavenworth, as someone who doesn't drink, tends to not buy tchotcskies, and won't clothes ship because they don't have my size, the wine-tasting, gift shop filled boutiques had nothing for me,
I will say, I went for the food. I expected some good German food and I got...well...one good meal. That sausage was AMAZING. The other meal was expensive, and not good, and really put a damper on the trip. Also someone was banging on cars at the hotel, and that made for a disturbed sleep.
That said, I did have a really good lunch, and visited the Icicle Road forest roads, so it wasn't totally bad, and I do feel better for going. Even the restaurant wiith the bad food is supposedly really good and the menu looked great...I just chose very badly. So maybe we'll try again in the future.
