Die you crazy funster.
Dec. 23rd, 2001 11:59 pmHo hum kinda day....especially after that last night.
Woke up to an invite by the family to have an early dinner at a place called Mario's. Very friendly restaurant, sweet waiters and the like. I made teh mistake of getting the Camaron a la diabla.
I like hot things. I'll admit it. I like m yVindaloo hot, I like my salsa hot, I like comida picada. But I also like...hmmm...what's the word....FLAVOR. My vindaloo has to be hot AND taste like curry. My salsa has to be hot AND taste like tomatos.
My Shrimp a la The Devil SHOULD taste like Shrimp.
Alas and alack, I got six shrimp, slathered in a hot sauce, a little bit of rice and a few asparagus spears. For $12. I was frightfully unsatisfied, but did not send the food back. Mainly because they got what I ordered right...it just wasn't what I was expecting. The plate was VERY empty, the shrimp tasted like hot sauce (no shrimpy flavor), and the asparagus was nice...but it just wasn't very...filling.
I was robbed. :)
Meanwhile m ydad and sister were going ON and ON about how good their steaks were. Grumble grumble.
When I got home, everyone fell asleep, and I wasted te whole day doing nothing but watching movies, chatting with friends and basically being a mouse potato.
I want a steak. A big 'ole chunk o'meat. I realize tha tI may have just disgusted one of my vegetarian friends...but it's the truth. ;)
Speaking of vegetarians...I just found out that my cousin Jennifer is a vegetarian. I feel for her, considering all her uncles minus one are in the cattle industry, or have had their hands in it.
Some news, though, on the comic front.
I decided that my machine can now crank out comics...just not on a scale like I was doing with A Wish For Wings (Each panel, before I resampled everything down to a managable size was about 10MB EACH). I sheepishly asked Jenni if she still wanted to do AWFW (I didn't want totake it away from her if she wanted to do it, but now that I was up and running again, I could concievably pick up where I left off). She wanted to keep doing it - so no problem.
Coming soon to a webpage near you - Closetspace.
It's only spent 8 years in preproduction hell, had three false starts to begin with, and nearly published once. Might as well finally get it done! :)
I'll prolly have the first episodes coming out in February.
