Many thousands of years ago, there was a small tribe at the banks of a large inland sea named the Arios. They were a simple group, who learned the sea helped grains grow near the tribe. Fish were plentiful as well. And the tribe thrived.

Then came the flood. Without warning, the flood raced down a river towards the sea. The Arios, now comprising a large town, had settled on this river for water, and the townsite was demolished. Most of the tribe was killed, either by flood waters, or the plague that folowed it. The seperated families, without the central town to hold them together, created new tribes. The Ehrem, the Urkos, the Indri, and the Alfagauch being the main ones. In time, the Alfagauch tribe began to resettle the townsite of the Arios, and rebuild.

The seperated tribes, though, remained seperated, and hoping to survive further plagues began to slowly migrate from the sea. When the townsite of Arios began to rebuild and grow towards the tribe of Ehrem's area, the the two families intermingled. The Ehrem tribe, however, migrated away from the area as the Arios town grew in that direction.

One spring, there was no rain. The summer was the hottest ever. The grains did not grow on their own. People died. While this was not the disaster that befell the Arios several decades earlier, the population fell quickly. The Arios town survived, but many of the links to its outlying tribes were severed. With the first rains of late fall, the town and outlying tribes regrouped and attempted to reconnect.

Other than one person from the tribes of Ehrem, both the Ehrem and Indri were never heard of again.
