Sweet Crispy Walnuts, it's Jenn Dolari!

The McDonalds actually DID let me nurse that Coke an hour more. The flight to Raleigh was pretty unremarkable, although there WAS a brief scare. The pilot announced that we'd be right on time to our destination as soon as we were headed to Roanoke. After much murmuring, another announcement came across saying "Oops, I meant Raleigh." :D
After landing at Raleigh, and inspecting my poor styrofoam crate for damage (it was a wreck - but everything inside survived!), I slugged my way to the baggage claim for Air Canada and began my wait for Emily.
And about thirty minutes in, I realized I had my back to Cat (aka The Fairy Godmother) for ten minutes without knowing! She was waiting there for Debra, who was the person who originally invited me to the con back in 2004, and Jason Siebels, who was coming in at the same time. Unfortunately, everyone was late, but it all worked out: Everyone showed up at 7PM, although without their baggage, which was all delayed in Chicago.
But - to lighten our moods, Cat got us a LIMO! A full blown goddamned stretch limo!
Originally, the limo was just Cat's way of pulling Jason's leg about being invited to his first con, but eventually turned into "Let's all go for a ride!" Very much enjoyed by all! We got into the hotel, had some dinner, met up with Mike Moon of Catgirl Island (and the convention runner this year) to go pic up Liz Troub (who also had her luggage delayed due to storms in Chicago).
We got back...and collapsed.
