FRIDAY, Trinoc Day One
Friday began with Jason getting his luggage, and Liz meeting up with her roomie Loren, who came in on a MUCH later flight than Liz did.

We all made the trip to a nearby Denny's for breakfast. I got catcalled, and not in a nice way, but I tried not to care. We had our breakfast, and a long conversation with an LGBT involved waiter (it was hard for him NOT to be family). I need to call him. He helps run an LGBT youth center, and'd like us to go to an LGBT "Career Day" for his "kids." I need to call his number.

When we got back, the con was in full swing. I set up my table, and got my laptop ready to display the comic when I was viciously hit ion the head by a roving webcomic artist named Erin Lindsey. After regaining consciousness, many hugs were exchanged, catching up was done, and we relaxed behind our tables till it was time for the first panel.

But, now because of these stupid hours, I have to go to bed. I really hate just having to slam the brakes on when I'm getting energized because my hours and commute are awful. I may have a job, but the hours need some serious tweaking.

Golly, I was just reading some of Lorens web stuff last night. And I was very worried about Liz after she stopped updating From Then on Fourth (though at least she updated on the forums), but I s'pose real life has to have priority over comics. Sound like, apart from the catcalls, you had a good day that day.

I probably pointed you to this before, but The Bottom Line or Fools and Others I Have Met (http://www.gendercentre.org.au/54article3.htm) was something I wrote after being pissed off with such idiots.

I'm so sorry that I didn't notice that catcall, dear heart. If I had, I would have gone and kicked their asses to defend your honour. It's my job as your girlfriend, after all. ::hugs gently::

As far as Erin goes, I'll leave that to you. Mainly because she'd kick my ass first. I've seen what she can do with an art easel as a weapon. ;-)

I wish I could have been there.

I love those beer commercials. I don't think they're that funny on their own... my mom just hates them, though. I guess I find humor in her suffering. ^^;

See, I like their commercials so much better the simpler they are. The guy just standing there going "it's beer! Hooray, beer!" was perfect. All the contrasty stuff is overkill.

Well, it's good to hear that you're working again, even if the hours and commute aren't so hot. Sorry to hear about the catcall, though. (Wikipedia sure has a lot to say (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catcalling) about such an ostensibly simple subject!) Hang in there, Jenn. :)
