When I moved to Pennsylvania, I was totally flabbergasted to wake up each morning, look out my window and see a mountain there. It was wonderful. But about two or three years in, I realized - the mountains block the sky.

I'd rather have Big Sky than Big Mountains, now.

Charles earned his first degree at a school in East Texas. He said all the trees made him feel clausterphobic because he could never see the sky.
