I had the day off yesterday, and when I have days off, I usually don't cook. However, the last week, our company has been buying us lunch (To keep us here for our lunch breaks and to help morale, which we desperately need). Unfortunately, this led to a bag full of rotting bananas because I haven't been eating them.
I wanted some MExican food, but I was wary about having another day of fast food, and I had a bunch of groceries in my pantry and fridge. And then I remembered - hey! I'm Mexican! I can make some Mexican food!
So I thawed some stew meat, spiced it up but good, thawed out some tortillas (I've given up ever learning to make these correctly), made some rice and had a GREAT dinner.
Fast forward two hours - my stomach hurt, I was dizzy, my neck was stiff, and I caught a chill. I think I poisoned myself. So back to the grind - overfried tasteless meat, salads and fruits when I make food for myself. If I want anything fancy, Taco Cabana is down the street.
The DOR Webcomics PRoject was HUGE this year. Twenty four comics compared to fourteen in 2005 and ten in 2004. The hits were also huge. We may be preachign to the choir with this thing, but, man, it's a big choir. I've already got the theme for next year's DoR so there wont be any confusion like there was for this years.
Now...gotta finish that article, and my busy busy November will be over....
