Okay...so this morning when I woke up, Saddam Hussein could have been executed sometime in Mid January.

At Lunch, it was sometime this month.

An hour later is was "As Early as Sunday."

An hour after that "Possibly today."

And then it happened.

Damn...once the wheels of Justice stop tuning, Bush hangs 'em quick. Hope it was worth the mess we're in, Dubya.

I dont know if something is wrong with me but I felt bad when I heard they killed him. I know he was a terrible person and killed lots of people, but I really didnt feel the same joy people around me did when they heard it.

Second that. He'd've been less of a martyr figure if they'd've just put him in jail and thrown away the key (and if anyone HAD to go to the press... only his lawyers, not he himself). On the other hand, I guess the Iraqis had the right to carry out the sentence of their choosing, since it was them he inflicted things on (mostly).

Also, apparently the timing of the punishment was to happen before Eid. Beyond that, I don't know enough about Eid to know further significance to that.
