Its amazing. With no power there's nothing. Its so quiet. No humming, no buzzing, no whirring. It relaxing, she said posing this from a cellphone. :)

Date: 2007-06-06 03:26 am (UTC)Where thunderstorms are concerned, we usually get our fill every summer (hurricanes are the main reason we're leaving The Sunshine State, though). The Tampa Bay area, where I live, is the lightning capital of the world. Strangely, though, the power more likely goes out when it's calm instead of when it's stormy. For hurricanes, however, power outages are a given (we lost power for 8 hours during Hurricane Jeanne in 2005).
Just hope the weather in Austin treats us at least a little better than in Florida.
