Comics might ba late because were having major power outtages usually with no power times lasting longer than powered ones. I'm sure this is doing all our electronics good. :)

Its amazing. With no power there's nothing. Its so quiet. No humming, no buzzing, no whirring. It relaxing, she said posing this from a cellphone. :)

Lovely thunderstorm, though.

Quiet

It can be spooky if you're not used to it.

I live in Florida (soon to move to Austin), and, to be honest, I'm never used to quiet. I have a fan on running all the time, even in winter.

Where thunderstorms are concerned, we usually get our fill every summer (hurricanes are the main reason we're leaving The Sunshine State, though). The Tampa Bay area, where I live, is the lightning capital of the world. Strangely, though, the power more likely goes out when it's calm instead of when it's stormy. For hurricanes, however, power outages are a given (we lost power for 8 hours during Hurricane Jeanne in 2005).

Just hope the weather in Austin treats us at least a little better than in Florida.
