Haven't really posted much that wasn't work-bashing, sleep related, Sims related or Second Life related. That's cause there's not much more than that, to be honest.

My day is mostly me waking up about 11:30, getting to work at 12:30, working up to a white hot blinding rage until 9:30 (although usually 10), Dinner and TV till about 11:30 or 12. Second Life till 2 AM to be with Emily, an hour of the Sims, then (an attempt at) sleep.

My weekends are usually a whole day consumed by doing comics (when real-life isn't intruding), and then a day of running errands, cleaning house, and occasionally running off to Austin to check mail or get some "less-mundane" groceries, which I really need to do, cause I'm missing Indian Curry Goodness (as well as missing some friends, who I can never get to see because of my hours and distance).

One of the things I miss about working REAL overnights, instead of this Afternoon-Evening are my friends. When I worked at Wincor, I did 7PM-5AM, 4 days on, 3 days off. I saw my friends all the time, especially since they mostly lived close. But now I'm at least an hour away from anyone, and my hours are PRime Time hours, with no one to see because by the time I get to Austin or San Antonio, it's 10PM. Even on Weekends, an outing to Austing or San Antonio takes planning, since while I'm there, I can run errands in each town that I can't do in San Marcos.

One more thing that isn't about work or scheduling...as of right now, I'm not going to Trinoc this year. I'll make an announcement about that come this Monday. Unlike 2005, when the convention took a very nasty turn to the dark side that made me announce I wasn't going (and only went because my and Emily's tickets were already paid for), my lease at this place is up on July 31st, and if I can get a job in Seattle before then, I'll be moving to Seattle ASAP, something I can't really do with a convention just days afterwards. However, even if I don't get a job before then and end up having to stay (and start that premature lease I made the mistake of signing), I may use the tickets I've already bought for Raleigh and apply them to Seattle to house-hunt and see Emily. There is a chance I could still make Trinoc, but Trinoc was just scehduled too close to too many other things around the same time. I've been told I can expect an invitiation to 2008, I'll make good on that one.

Trinoc vs Seattle

Hmmm, know which one I'd want to go to (I haven't attended any conventions since AUSSIECON III in 1999). There'll always be another convention next year.
