There's a stray cat that hangs around the loading bay at work that everyone's been taking care of. I'd never seen him, but last night, while examining what sounded like a delivery coming in late night, I saw the cat.

I bent down to say Hi, and offered him my hand, and he seemed genuinely interested in it.

Then the train parked directly behind the building blared its horn so loud it shook the dock. Now the kitty is afraid of me because I'm the monster that screams.

Why is it that every relationship I have with a cat starts off on the wrong foot? No wonder they don't like me. ;)

Cats have always hated me, which is why my current house guest got invited in. This cat actually LIKES me. You are more than welcome to come visit my five temporary cats--I live in south Austin now--off of Olorf. There are six animals here--there has to be one that loves you, too.

The D above says your post was depressing. I understand that life is really hard on you. I wish it was better but don't know how to help that happen. But I'm a fixer and try to fix everyone. Must... make... everyone... happy...

I heard you're not supposed to feed tuna to cats, something like it causes urinary tract problems. And for the record, you're not supposed to feed them cow's milk.
