Sep. 28th, 2007 05:11 pmI had meant to do "The Long Road Home" as a third comic starting in 2008, drawing as much as I could in 2007 to have a one year head start on it. It never happened (in fact, just keeping the two comics running has been a chore and a half).
What if I were to novelize it? I haven't written prose anything since high school after I realzied I could get people seeing the right images in their head if I scripted it out in a script or drew it out on paper.
Should I do it as a comic in 2009? Or try for an eBook?

Date: 2007-09-29 03:37 am (UTC)It's good stuff. I'm processing it. And if you can have this effect on someone who's been out in the forest for a long time, well...
Consider that a vote of confidence, and you might intuit that I don't do that very often.
The design elements are well-handled; the plot has, well, let's say that there is a plot and it makes lots of sense in retrospect, but it's really hard to see what's coming next. Maybe that's what good storytelling should be.
And sometime if you've got lots of free time and aren't overbooked, I'd like to commission some user-icons from you, commercial rates, 100x100 px, licensed for LJ use only and you reserve all rights. Standard deal, hey? You quote me a price; once we can agree terms (shouldn't be hard) you can start with that darned JPG icon of mine because it really has to go offline soon. Putting a picture of myself on the Net is welding a bit close to the gas-tank for my tastes. And I know I don't have time to do it what with heading out on Wednesday morning.
Lady bless,

Dammit, woman, you can write AND draw. :-) And no, I really don't need to ask where you get this stuff; I think I recognise the well you've been drinking from. Knew it, know it still, probably always will know it. Different buckets, same water.
Sent my 5.7 MB file off to the partners; now to wait for the denouement.
that's it for the evening,
