Survivor Spiral: The act of having traits society shuns, and finding solace in others with different traits that society shuns. The group then learns of new traits society shuns and accepts them, while dissasociating with any others who may not accept the newly revealed traits. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Eventually, all contact with the outside is lost and the mutual admiration society spirals tighter and tighter eventually reaching a singularity of "It's okay, we love you no matter what you carved into your sister's thigh last night, now hide under my bed, the cops are coming." Often observed in cults, sycophants, internet forums, and continually attempting to form in my EMail Inbox despite my best efforts ::plugs up another forming whirlpool::

Hehehe. Good word. I'm gonna use it. It's like echo chamber, but better.

I think a lot of "victims" spend way too much time shunning society. Society can definitely suck but really it isn't all that bad. It got us out of mud huts. I'm eating crispy fried ramen for breakfast and typing on a computer to someone on the other side of the world. That fucking rocks.
