A cumbia (pronunced coom-bee-a) is a mexican dance song, with a VERY VERY VERY heavy beat, accented with a cowbell of all things. The beat is SO heavy that it overpowers the song making every cumbia sound EXACTLY the same, no matter who sings it. The beat is also SO powerful that even through closed doors, headphones and loud music you can make it out. A cumbia also seems to be one of my mom's favorite types of song as it's played CONSTANTLY unti lI wan to find her cumbia CD, shatterthem, and poke out my own eardrums with the shards.
Me no likes the cumbia. :)
Kumbiyah, is an annoying song, too...but not annoying enough to draw blood over it. :)
